Clothing Collections
Turn your pre-loved clothing into pre-hospital care
We want to make it easy as possible for you to donate your unwanted clothing.
Arranged collections
We offer arranged collections from Monday to Friday.
The areas our collection teams visit include County Durham, the Wear Valley, Tees Valley, Northumberland and Cumbria.
To arrange a collection at a time that suits you, call our team on 01325 308139, or fill out the enquiry form online.
Request a collectionCommunity collections
We have an ever-growing network of community collections that take place in people’s homes, businesses and village halls. To find out if there is one taking place in your area, please get in touch.
We’d also love to hear from you if you can spare some space to hold your own collection. The bag collection activity can last as long as you would prefer and a member of our friendly collection team will then come and pick up the clothing on a date that suits you.

We accept pre-loved and new clothing when you donate to us.
In addition to clothing, we also love to take coats, shoes (in pairs), belts, handbags and mobile phones.
To help reduce plastic usage, we do not post collection bags through doors anymore. All of our collections are done by appointment only. You can make an appointment through our website, Facebook message or by giving us a call on 01325 308139.

We receive a very good price for the clothing from our buyers, many of whom are based in mainland Europe. Donated items are often sold in clothing shops; nothing is shredded or sold as rags.
We always collect in Great North Air Ambulance Service branded vans. Our fleet of vehicles are marked with our logo and all of our drivers carry identification badges. If you have any queries, please give our team a call on 01325 308 139.
No one else collects on our behalf. Our own collection vans and drivers will always collect a donation from you, so everything you donate goes directly to us to help our cause.
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to collect unwanted furniture, bric-a-brac, toys/games, CD’s/DVD’s, homeware, electricals, duvets, pillows or cushions.
Please leave your bags for collection in a safe place if possible, hidden from roadside view. This will increase the chance of our driver collecting them, rather than anyone passing. Thank you!
