A WOMAN was taken to hospital after she fell and sustained a serious lower leg injury today. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Barnard Castle, County Durham, at around 12.55pm on October 5. The doctor and paramedic team assessed and treated a woman, believed to be 45-years-old, before she was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for further treatment.
