A 63-year-old woman was fortunate to escape with just minor injuries after her car collided with an HGV in Middlesbrough today.
The Hartlepool woman was driving in the Riverside Park area of the town when the incident happened shortly before 9am.
The impact left the woman trapped inside her vehicle – a white Citroen – meaning that she had to be cut free.
Fortunately, she emerged relatively unscathed. GNAAS’ doctor and paramedic crew were on hand to assist road ambulance paramedics in ensuring the woman was safe to make the journey to hospital by road.
