The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a collison involving several vehicles on the A19 near Picton. The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated a woman, in her 70s, for neck and arm injuries before she was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within three minutes.

The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated a woman, in her 70s, for neck and arm injuries before she was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within three minutes. She arrived in a stable condition.
The air ambulance was tasked to the incident at 1pm yesterday.
