At 12.36pm GNAAS was called to a field at Boosbeck, near Skelton, where a 26-year-old woman had suffered an open fracture to her leg after falling from her horse. Working alongside the North East Ambulance Service, the aircrew doctor and paramedic administered advanced pain relief.

Working alongside the North East Ambulance Service, the aircrew doctor and paramedic administered advanced pain relief. The patient had fallen in an area inaccessible by road and therefore had to be airlifted to hospital.
GNAAS flew her to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The flight took five minutes.
