The Pride of Cumbria and her crew were called upon twice yesterday, April 15th, in rural Cumbria.
First, a Lancaster man in his 70s was treated at Bardsea, near Ulverston in south Cumbria, after he was found on the shoreline with an arm injury.
He was able to be taken to hospital by road after treatment on scene by a GNAAS paramedic and doctor.
He was transferred by a coastguard 4×4 to a waiting land ambulance and driven to hospital in Barrow.
After this, the crew were called to Catbells, near Keswick, where a woman in her 50s from Northampton had fallen on the fell.
Working alongside Keswick Mountain Rescue Team, the crew located the patient and treated her on scene before she was flown to hospital in Whitehaven.
She had sustained serious leg injuries and arrived at hospital in a stable condition.
