The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a gyrocopter crash on a Yorkshire Dales fell. The aircraft hit the ground near the summit of Great Knoutberry Hill, overlooking Dentdale, on Saturday 29 April. The two men on board were assessed and treated by the GNAAS trauma team before being flown to hospital in Lancaster.

The Cave Rescue Organisation was also at the scene.
