Two airlifted after cars collide


The Great North Air Ambulance Service responded to East Yorkshire this morning, where two cars had collided.


One of the cars had left the carriageway and rolled into a field.

Both its occupants were seriously injured.

The incident happened at Langtoft, near Bridlington, about 10am today. GNAAS joined the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance at the scene.

GNAAS airlifted the 19-year-old female passenger from Nottingham to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

She had sustained head and pelvic injuries. The flight time was 21 minutes.

The driver, a 19 year old male, suffered serious injuries and was flown into Hull Royal Infirmary by Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
