The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to two separate incidents at a motocross track near Sedgefield, County Durham. One rider, a woman believed to be in her 30s, was assessed and treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team for potential spinal and pelvic injuries before she was flown to hospital in Middlesbrough within seven minutes.

One rider, a woman believed to be in her 30s, was assessed and treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team for potential spinal and pelvic injuries before she was flown to hospital in Middlesbrough within seven minutes. She arrived in a stable condition.
Earlier in the day, on Sunday 30 April, GNAAS administered advanced treatment to a 27-year-old man. He was airlifted to hospital but sadly later died. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
