A teenager was treated after a road traffic collision at Holmside near Edmondsley at 10:40am today (Wed 26th). The passenger of the vehicle, from Delves Lane, Consett, sustained arm injuries. The GNAAS aircraft flew near to the scene and the doctor-led trauma team were taken to the patient by a Red Cross driver that was passing the helicopter as it landed approximately 4km away due to weather conditions. The female was then taken to the University Hospital of North Durham by Ambulance Service paramedics..
