An 80-strong rock choir will headline a Northumberland music festival in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS).
The Rock Choir will perform at Chopperfest 2015, which returns for its second year on Saturday, August 8.
Last year around 400 festival-goers attended the event, at Felmoor Park, Eshottheugh, and organisers hope even more will turn out this year.
Organiser Cheryl Davidson, 30, from Morpeth, said: “A service like the Great North Air Ambulance is vital for those living in the beautiful county of Northumberland, where many areas are incredibly rural and remote. We know of people whose lives have been saved by the service so it is a pleasure to give a little bit back.”
Other local artists include Beaten Track, Alys Crow, The Flames, Elvana, Call Off The Search, Clippar, Gary Featherstone, Dead Hands, Scratch, Dead Mans Shoes and Steve Daggett.
Mandy Drake, head of fundraising for GNAAS said: “We’d like to thank the organisers of Chopperfest and Felmoor Park for choosing to raise vital funds for us for the second year running. The money raised will support our work in the area. It is a great showcase for local artists as well.”
The festival will begin at 1pm and ends at midnight. Tickets are £12 for adults and £3 for children and are available from Felmoor Park on 01670-787790.
