A pedestrian was hit by a car in Hartlepool last night. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the Owton Manor area of Hartlepool and arrived at the scene at 7:45pm. The man sustained serious head and leg injuries and was anaesthetised by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team. He was transported to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough in a five minute flight.
