The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called into action yesterday evening when a male in his forties suffered serious injuries on an off-road motorcycle at Sandale, near Caldbeck, Cumbria.
The man fell off his motorcycle while on an off-road course and has suspected head, arm and pelvic injuries.
The GNAAS doctor led trauma team treated him before the Guardian of the North aircraft transported him to the Royal Victoria Infirmary with a flight time of just 25 minutes.
Cumbria land crew were also on scene.
The patient was stable upon arrival.
