A flock of nuns raised more than £800 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
The holy runners descended upon Darlington’s South Park in a bid to raise vital funds for the life-saving charity.
Ruth Davey, of GNAAS, said: “It was a fantastic atmosphere and so many people dressed up. Everyone along the course was so supportive, cheering and helping each other along.
“Thank you to everyone who supported us on the day. All of the funds donated will go towards keeping our three aircraft in the sky.”
The run was inspired by Darlington Operatic Society’s (DOS) upcoming production of Sister Act that begins in October.
