The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist the North East Ambulance Service with a woman who is believed to have fallen from a horse and then down a 30ft slope. The incident happened in Wooler, Northumberland, at around midday on Sunday 30 April. The GNAAS trauma team assessed and treated the woman for potential head, pelvis, hip and leg injuries before she was flown to hospital in Newcastle within 23 minutes..
