A mountain biker was rescued after a fall from Whinlatter Forest, near Keswick.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called into action at 10:45am on August 29.
The 31-year-old man fell from his bike and was knocked unconscious. Mountain Rescue Team Members were already at the forest and located the patient. Following assessment by GNAAS, he was treated for head, leg and arm injuries and was carried to the aircraft.
The man was flown to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, which took 8 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
GNAAS worked alongside Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue and Keswick Mountain Rescue, as well as Whinlatter Forest staff.
