A female motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision at Washington, Tyne and Wear, at around 11:30am yesterday morning (Apr 26). The GNAAS trauma team, assisted by North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) anesthetised the woman, before performing surgery and giving the patient blood.

The GNAAS trauma team, assisted by North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) anesthetised the woman, before performing surgery and giving the patient blood.
She was then flown to the Major Trauma Centre at Newcastle’s RVI. The flight took six minutes and she arrived in a critical condition.
