A motorcyclist has been flown to hospital after a collision with a car at Ashington in Northumberland. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 10:30am on August 13. The motorcyclist, a local man aged 47, had sustained a spinal injury as well as a serious leg injury. He was treated on scene before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
