A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after he fell from his bike at Crimdon Dene Beach, Hartlepool.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called into action at 5:20pm on August 23, after the off-road motorcyclist fell from his bike close to the water’s edge and sustained a serious leg injury.
The man, in his twenties and from Billingham, was treated by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic team, before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough in five minutes. He arrived in a stable condition.
GNAAS worked alongside North East Ambulance Service, Hartlepool Coastguard and Headland lifeguards.
