A MOTORBIKE rider was airlifted to hospital after a collision with a car near Coniston. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the A5084 at around 5pm on Saturday. A 68-year-old man was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team for serious lower leg injuries.

A 68-year-old man was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team for serious lower leg injuries. He was then flown to Royal Preston Hospital within 15 minutes where he arrived in a stable condition.
