Meet our Corporate Partners – Seaham Hall

“The scope of services covered by GNAAS is fantastic. From both the ground and the air, it’s reassuring to know that we have access to such a brilliant charity.”

Seaham Hall in Durham is well known for being a luxury five-star and five-bubble-rated spa resort, but did you know they are also committed to supporting local and national charities like ours?

We were lucky enough to receive a prize from Seaham Hall for our charity’s ball last year, which raised more than £1,000.

The prize was for an overnight stay, including a five-course tasting menu and breakfast for two, plus use of their spa facilities.

For those who aren’t familiar with Seaham Hall, it is a charming Georgian country house hotel located on a cliff top with views over Durham’s heritage coastline.

The hotel has 24 luxurious suites and five coastal lodges for purchase or rent, an award winning 44,000 sq ft spa and two phenomenal restaurants.

The five-star boutique hotel is heavily involved in their local community and actively promotes and supports local companies, as well as donating and supporting a number of charities.

In addition to donating an overnight stay for our ball, the hotel chose to donate a percentage of their quarterly service charge, which was an incredible £3,277.

Alexandra Hedley, from Seaham Hall, said: “Supporting local businesses is hugely important to us. Not only as it allows us to help raise much needed funds for charities to carry out the great work they do, but it also allows us to shine a spotlight on some of the great work happening in the North East.”

“Over the past 12 months we have been able to support Bright Red, Daft as a Brush, Shippey Foundation, Think Pink / Breast Cancer Care, Love Amelia, North East Veterans, GNAAS, St Cuthberts and MIND.”

In recognition of Seaham Hall’s support, they were asked if they would like to become a Corporate Partner at GNAAS, which they gratefully accepted.

Some of the staff from Seaham Hall have since visited our base to learn more about the operations of our charity and meet our critical care team as well as have a tour of our helicopter.

Alexandra said: “Meeting the team and hearing some of the real-life stories of how GNAAS has been on hand in times of need was hugely inspiring. (Also being able to see the helicopter was great!).

“The scope of services covered by the GNAA is fantastic – From both the ground and the air, it’s reassuring to know that we have access to such a brilliant charity.”
