A MAN was taken to hospital after a 30ft fall in Sunderland. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 9:45am today. The man, in his thirties, had fallen 30ft from a second-floor window and sustained arm and possible pelvic injuries. He was treated at the scene and then transported to Newcastle’s RVI by road.

He was treated at the scene and then transported to Newcastle’s RVI by road. The GNAAS doctor and paramedic accompanied him on route to hospital where his injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
