A MAN has been airlifted from the old airfield in Silloth with head injuries. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 3.10pm yesterday. On arrival, the aircrew doctor and paramedic assessed and treated man for his injuries before flying him to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

On arrival, the aircrew doctor and paramedic assessed and treated man for his injuries before flying him to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took nine minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
GNAAS worked alongside North West Ambulance Service.
