A man sustained serious facial injuries while using an angle grinder at South Shields, Tyne and Wear, at 11:23am on Saturday. The aircraft was unable to fly due to fog, and so the trauma team despatched GNAAS’ rapid response car to the scene. GNAAS doctor performed medical procedures that are usually carried out in a hospital, in the back of an ambulance, before taking the 46-year-old man to the Newcastle’s RVI, accompanied by the doctor.
