Man placed into coma after fall in Carlisle


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Carlisle yesterday where a man had fallen at home. The aircraft landed at St James’ Park. The man, in his 40s, suffered a serious head injury and was put into a medically induced coma by the GNAAS aircrew before being flown to the Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within 25 minutes, where he arrived in a critical condition..
