A MAN was airlifted to hospital after falling from a husky sled at Haverigg, Cumbria. The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the scene at 2pm on July 24. The 47-year-old man, from Darlington, sustained facial, arm and leg injuries and was treated at the scene by the GNAAS crew before being flown to Furness General Hospital in Barrow.
