A MAN was airlifted to hospital with multiple injuries after falling from a horse. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident which happened in Penruddock, near Penrith at 11.15am on Sunday. The doctor-led team assessed and treated the 46-year-old man, from Motherwell, for back, leg, arm, pelvis and chest injuries, before he was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle in 29 minutes.
