A MAN suffered a serious head injury after falling through a byre roof. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Thursby, near Carlisle, on January 22. The 41-year-old was treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
