A MAN was airlifted to hospital after he was involved in a collision with a JCB yesterday (July 18).
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist North East Ambulance Service with the incident which happened just outside of Berwick at 4:40pm.
The 29-year-old man from Coldstream had been ejected from the sunroof of his car and landed on the road. He sustained multiple serious injuries.
The patient was treated at the scene by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew where he was stabilised before being flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within 20 minutes for on-going treatment. He arrived in a stable condition.
