Man airlifted from M6 with head injury


A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a crash on the M6 yesterday. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the M6, south of Tebay, at 4:35pm, to reports of a car that had rolled over several times. A 67-year-old man was trapped in the vehicle before being freed by fire and rescue and treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team for a head injury. He was then flown to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary where he arrived in a stable condition..
