The 55-year-old fell while working on a roof at Chopwell, Tyne and Wear, this morning, October 4th.
The man, from High Spen, was believed to be working on the roof when the incident happened.
The doctor and paramedic helicopter crew worked with the road paramedics to treat and stabilise the patient, who had sustained potentially serious chest injuries.
He also had suspected pelvic and back injuries.
He was then flown to the RVI in Newcastle. The journey took just four minutes and the man was stable on arrival.
