More than £3,000 was raised for good causes at the Langdale Charity Folk Festival.
Last month’s event featured dozens of performers performing over three days at the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel in Langdale, Cumbria.
The event was organised by Dave and Maureen Reid, who split the proceeds between the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) and Lake District Mountain Rescue Search Dogs.
Mr Reid said: “The festival was a free folk event with a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll thrown in. It went terrifically well. It was a lot of hard work but everything went off brilliantly. Thanks to all the performers for playing for free.
“We chose to support the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the mountain rescue dogs. Each of these play their part in making this fantastic area a safer place for all of us or preserving it for our continued enjoyment.”
Mandy Drake, head of fundraising at GNAAS, said: “We would like to thank all involved for supporting this fantastic event. The money will be spent on supporting the Pride of Cumbria – the only air ambulance based in the county.”
Mr Reid said the next Langdale Charity Folk Festival would be held in May 2014, with a follow-up in September 2014. For more information, please visit Langdale Charity Folk Festival website
