A KENDAL man has been airlifted to hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Kendal at 12:30pm on October 4. The man, in his seventies, was resuscitated by North West Ambulance Service who requested the assistance of GNAAS. The aircraft landed at Abbot Hall Park and crews worked together to provide specialist care on scene before flying the patient to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, where further specialist care was available. The flight took 12 minutes and the man arrived in a critical condition..
