Our crew were busy in Cumbria on Saturday. Thanks to your support they were able to attend the following incidents:
At 12.41pm we were called to Windermere where a man, believed to be in his 70s, was having a suspected heart attack. The patient was assessed and treated by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team and flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 15 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
At 2.35pm we were called to Appleby where a man, believed to be in his 30s, had fallen off his bike. He was assessed and treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team and taken to James Cook University Hospital. The flight took 14 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
At 6pm we were called to assist the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team at Hart Crag, Ambleside, where a man, believed to be in his 60s, had fallen. He was assessed and treated by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 13 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
