It was a busy day for our crew over in Cumbria on Sunday. Here are some of the incidents they attended:
In the afternoon they flew over to Whitehaven where a ten-year-old boy had fallen off his mountain bike. He was assessed and treated by the doctor and paramedic team before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle in a stable condition.
The crew then headed over to Elsdon, Northumberland, where they assessed and treated a man, believed to be in his 60s, who had sustained a head injury. He was flown to the RVI in a serious condition and the flight took 12 minutes.
After stopping off at Newcastle Airport for some fuel, the crew were called to Ambleside in the evening where a 13-year-old girl had fallen out of a tree. She was treated by our paramedic and doctor team before being flown to the RVI in 25 minutes where she arrived in a serious but stable condition.
