A man was airlifted to hospital after suffering from a suspected heart attack at Hawkshead, Cumbria, today (Apr 28). The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to assist North West Ambulance Service with a 66-year-old man who was assessed by the crew and then flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for specialist treatment. The flight took 20 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
