After experiencing one of our busiest years on record we’ve launched a prize draw raffle to help keep us flying.
Last year we responded to 2,083 incidents across the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Scotland and the Isle of Man.
A large percentage of the incidents were traumatic and medical cardiac arrests, followed by road traffic collisions, assaults, and falls.
It is expected that the charity will respond to a similar number of incidents this year and we will need to raise £9.3m to remain operational throughout 2025.
In response we’ve launched a prize draw raffle to raise the crucial funds needed to ensure we can continue to provide advanced life-saving treatment to people across the region.
Three local companies have kindly donated raffle prizes which celebrate the region that GNAAS cover, including two getaways, and tickets cost only £1.
Middleton Lodge are offering a one-night stay at one of their Dairy Hot Tub rooms, including dinner and continental breakfast plus a day retreat at their Forest Spa, which includes a two-hour treatment ritual for each guest, bathing experience, two course lunch and facility use. The prize is based on two people sharing and is worth £1,200.
A longer break can also be won, courtesy of Tottergill Farm, which is worth £1,000. Orchard House is one of ten luxury holiday cottages situated within the grounds of Tottergill Farm, a private 48-acre estate in the tranquil Cumbrian countryside. The cottage sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms, can accommodate two well-behaved dogs, and offers complimentary use of the leisure club at a local hotel.
In addition to the stays, there’s also a chance to win a framed Lucy Pittaway 26-inch print of ‘Flying Coast to Coast’, worth £585. The artwork was commissioned especially for GNAAS and illustrates the 8,000 square miles we cover in our region.
The raffle will be running for one month and the closing date is Friday 14 March, with winners being drawn on Friday 21 March.
Every £1 ticket you buy in our raffle will enable us to save the lives of those in the critical moments that matter. You may not need us now, but your support can ensure we are there if the unthinkable happens.
