Garden parties, Northern Soul nights and a whole lot more…

The air ambulance relies on the energy of the fundraising public in order to survive.

The air ambulance relies on the energy of the fundraising public in order to survive. Here at GNAAS, we never take that dedication for granted. We share the same passion for the cause as our supporters, which is why we love to hear about the efforts being made in order to keep the aircraft flying. Here are just some of the fundraising events to have taken place over the past few weeks:

July 17 2016: Daphne Scott-Harden, who was airlifted in July 2014, held a garden party in Blanchland, Northumberland with a silent auction. The current fundraising total is £4,991

July 8 2016: Sophie Kelly, who was airlifted from Threlkeld, Cumbria in 2011, held a fundraiser at Marchon Sports and Social Club in Whitehaven, featuring entertainment with a DJ, bands, raffles and an auction. The event raised £3,160.

July 7 2016: Pupils of Lynnfield Primary School, Hartlepool, held a dance night organised by the school student council, raising £1,033.70

June 4 2016 Lydia Joss and her brother Terry Norton held a Northern Soul fundraiser at Newton Aycliffe Working Men’s Club. The event was in memory of Lydia’s husband, Phillip Joss, who was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash, which GNAAS attended. £3,280 was raised.

June 1 2016: Members of the St Gabriel Masonic Lodge in Byker, Newcastle, held a fundraising drive and raised £4,000 through the Province of Northumberland. An additional £500 was raised through organised social events.
