The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) were tasked to an incident at Easedale Tarn, near Ambleside yesterday where a fell walker had fallen and suffered a leg injury on a mountain track. The 54-year-old woman from Staffordshire was located and treated before being flown off the mountain to a road ambulance to continue the onward journey to hospital. Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue were also involved in the rescue. .
