A night in the enchanted forest awaits guests at a fundraising ball held in support of the Pride of Cumbria air ambulance.
The Enchanted Forest Ball takes place at The Halston in Carlisle as the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) seeks to boost funds for its Langwathby-based helicopter and crew.
The GNAAS team carry out hundreds of rescue missions across the county every year, an undertaking which costs around £1.5m. Every penny must be raised through donations.
Ruth Davey, of GNAAS, said: “Tickets are on sale and we’ve already sold more than 150. We expect it to be a sell out event.
“This is an incredible response and it just shows how important the air ambulance is to the region.”
Last year, the charity held its first ball in Cumbria and raised £4000 which went towards medical supplies, aircraft maintenance and other running costs of the operation.
“We hope to attract more people than ever with another brilliant ball. Guests have a magical evening of exquisite food and fabulous entertainment in store,” added Ms Davey.
The ball takes place on Saturday, November 29, from 6pm, and tickets are £40. This includes a drinks reception, three course dinner and live entertainment.
There will be a luxury raffle, an auction of exclusive prizes, and surprises throughout the night. Tickets can be bought individually or in tables of ten. To book, call 01325-487263 or email events@greatnorthairambulance.co.uk.
