Emergency services were called to the scene of a collision near Boroughbridge yesterday evening. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was tasked to the incident at 6pm after the crash which involved multiple vehicles on the A168. A 19-year-old woman had suffered serious head and abdomen injuries and the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team put her into an induced coma. The patient was flown to Leeds General Infirmary within nine minutes, where she arrived in a serious but stable condition..
