A WOMAN in her 70s was flown to hospital after collapsing on a Lake District fell yesterday (June 08). The woman, from Bedford, was taken to Furness General Hospital in Barrow by the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) after falling ill on Loughrigg, near Ambleside. Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team also attended the incident. It took just eleven minutes to take her to Barrow and her condition was described as stable upon arrival..
