AN ELDERLY man has been airlifted to hospital after he was crushed between a car and a building in Cumbria. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Reagill, near Penrith, at 1:25pm on December 28. On arrival at the scene, the aircrew assessed and treated a man for multiple life-threatening injuries before he was flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.

On arrival at the scene, the aircrew assessed and treated a man for multiple life-threatening injuries before he was flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary. The flight took 18 minutes and he arrived in a serious but stable condition.
GNAAS worked alongside North West Ambulance Service.
