At 12:20pm yesterday we were called to assist the North East Ambulance Service with a serious accident involving a cyclist and a lorry. The cyclist suffered serious leg injuries after the collision on the A689 at Bradbury, County Durham. The 23-year-old man was treated at the scene by the doctor-led trauma team, before being taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where his condition was critical.
