A CYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after a fall from her bike at Hornby, near Bedale, on Sunday (August 14). The 48-year-old woman had suffered a possible head injury. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident at 10:58am and after assessment by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team, the patient was flown to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, within 11 minutes.
