Corporate partner HR2day hoping to break £23,000 record fundraising at charity ball

Darlington based, HR2day is hoping to break its previous £23,000 record fundraising when it hosts its second charity fundraising ball for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) in November.

The previous £23,000 raised by HR2day in 2021 is enough money to support four lifesaving missions, which on average cost around £5,000.

Recognised by GNAAS as one of its key corporate partners, HR2day, will be hosting the event at Hardwick Hall on November 9, 2024, and is asking people to get involved in any way they can.

To become a corporate partner, organisations need to raise a minimum of £5,000, and in return receive several benefits including having first refusal of sponsorships and invites to charity events, use of GNAAS facilities and a tour of the helicopters.

Over the past few years, businesses have been seeking alternative ways to fundraise for the Great North Air Ambulance service, from implementing payroll giving schemes to creating and selling branded calendars, which offer creative fundraising options.

Nicky Jolley, managing director at HR2day said: “We’re proud to continue our support for the Great North Air Ambulance, which is a service we are privileged to have in our area.

“The Great North Air Ambulance touches everybody with many of our staff knowing someone who has used the vital service in the past.

“With already 245 seats sold, and aiming for more, we’re hoping that this year’s ball in November will be our biggest yet and encourage people to get involved in any way they can.

“A special thanks must go to my daughter Celine, who has been fantastic at organising this year’s event and raising awareness for the Air Ambulance.”

Ben Sisson, specialist fundraiser for the Great North Air Ambulance Service in the North East, said: “HR2day is one of our longstanding corporate partners and we’re delighted that Nicky and the team have decided to continue raising funds for our service.

“Events like the one in November allow us to continue spreading the message of the life saving work we do for people across the North of England. This is just one of many ways to support our service and we encourage businesses to get in touch on how they can get involved.

“From pay roll schemes to calendar launches, we have received an incredible amount of support from businesses who are always keen to explore engaging ways of raising money.”
