Thanks to everyone at Brompton on Swale Caravan Park, North Yorkshire, who took part in an impromptu fundraiser for GNAAS.
One of the ‘Brompton Bangers’ tells the story…
“A group of seasonal residents on Brompton on Swale Caravan Park had a great time and raised the grand sum of £868. It all started as a laugh when one of the ladies told her story of being in the jazz band as a child, and that’s when the fun began.
“Drums were made from sweet tine and water carriers, kazoos were bought off the internet, and endless hours was spent making the Brompton Bangers banner, and it wasn’t long before we had our own jazz band.
“We paraded around the site, shaking tins while the crowds gathered, played bingo and party games, name the teddy, baked cakes, played dominoes, held a raffle and tombola and had a great party to follow.
“A really big thank you to all who were there with us that weekend, from tents to tourers and statics to seasonals, and helped to give us the Great North Air Ambulance a very nice sum of money.”
