The Boundary 500 Motorcycle Group's two challenges - the Challenge and Classic - can be ridden any time of year by any vehicle. Find out more about the two routes and how you can enter below.
About the Boundary 500
The Boundary 500 Motorcycle Group was set up in 2006 to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service. Since then it has donated more than £500,000 to the charity and established itself as a well-respected motorcycling body with tremendous support from not only people living in the North East of England but from all over the UK.
Boundary 500 Classic
The Boundary Classic route involves a 125-mile ride around the Yorkshire Dales and whilst predominantly aimed at classic motorcycles, all makes and years are welcome. The route has nine checkpoints in total; the frequent stops make it a pillion favourite. These checkpoints are:

- Castleton Market Place, YO21 2EG
- Danby Visitors Centre Car Park, YO21 2NB
- Lealholm, YO21 2AJ
- Hutton-le-Hole, YO62 6UA
- Beadlam Grange Farm Shop, YO62 7TD
- Masham, HG4 4EF
- Brymor Ice Cream Parlour, HG4 4PG
- Osmotherley, DL6 3BN
Boundary 500 Challenge
The Boundary 500 Challenge route follows the boundary of the Great North Air Ambulance operational area and is approximately 500 miles in length. The route has six checkpoints in total that you must reach to complete the challenge. These include:

- Morrisons, North Road, Berwick on Tweed, TD15 1QQ
- Morrisons Flatwalks, Whitehaven, CA28 7RW
- Morrisons, The Strand, Barrow in Furness, LA14 2HF
- Morrisons, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1RT
- Morrisons, Dunslow Road, Scarborough, YO11 3YN
Boundary 500 Information
There is an entrance fee of £5 per rider and pillion, both of whom are asked to raise a minimum of £20 sponsorship each.
The starting point can be any of the check points and the route can be completed in any direction.
You can take part in the rides at time period best suited to you, taking as long as you need to safely complete the route. These rides are challenges – there is no race or competion.
All participants will receive a fundraising pack that includes a Great North Air Ambulance Service T-shirt; record card; map; sponsor form and copy of the rules and regulations.
