Yesterday, we were on scene at:
14:00 – Nateby, near Kirkby Stephen. GNAAS was called to assist a male who had fallen from his bike. He had sustained serious chest, back and facial injuries and was treated at the scene by GNAAS doctor and paramedic, NWAS paramedics and a local BASIC doctor before being flown to the major trauma centre at James Cook University Hospital.
16:00 – Annfield Plain, County Durham. GNAAS was called to assist a male cyclist who was in a collision with another vehicle and sustained serious leg injuries. He was treated by GNAAS doctor and paramedic and NEAS paramedics before being flown to James Cook University Hospital.
17:15 – Plumbland, Cumbria. GNAAS was called to assist with a female patient who had fallen from a horse. She was treated at the scene by GNAAS doctor and paramedic and NWAS paramedics before being transported to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.
