A man was airlifted in a critical condition after suffering a suspected heart attack at Crosthwaite, near Kendal, Cumbria.
The 63-year-old, who is believed to live locally, was flown to hospital in Lancaster after taking ill around 10.30am yesterday.
The Pride of Cumbria arrived on scene shortly afterwards, joining paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service, who had managed to restore the patient’s heart beat.
He was then flown to hospital for further treatment.
The flight took ten minutes and the patient arrived in a critical but stable condition.
